CHOOSING YOUR TRIGGER CONNECTOR
Choosing Your Trigger Connector For your Glock or Ruger Series Pistol
A. What will you use the trigger connector for?
Look at the Applications: for each trigger connector. All of the triggers connectors may be used for any and all lawful purposes. Every connector we manufacture is made for self-defense.
B. Decide what weight you want? You know what you like.
If you are not sure most of our customers go with the EVO ELITE or EDGE.
C. Do you want to eliminate over-travel?
Elimination of over-travel is huge (you really want this feature). These Trigger Control Connectors require minor fitting. Installation instructions are included with the trigger connector and are also online. Most customers go with the Trigger Control Connectors. The installation is straight forward almost all of our customers do it themselves. If you make a mistake in the fitting process, we replace them for free!
D. Still not sure?
Purchase the trigger connector you think meets your needs and try it out. Change your mind? Want to try something else? We will exchange it for the trigger of your choice additional charges may apply to cover any price difference between the connectors.
NOTE: Ghost Products do not affect your Glock or Ruger Warranties. Simply put using our products in your Glock or Ruger will not void or affect your warranty in any way period. Our products do not change or alter the function of the Glock and Ruger safeties systems operations.
E. Why Are Ghost Inc. trigger control connectors and trigger connectors better than Glock & Ruger OEM?
We simply make them better. This is all we do we focus all of our efforts on making the best trigger connectors in the world. Better materials, better polishing, smoother, lighter, self-cleaning and some models give you a shorter trigger pull with no over-travel and a faster reset. We also back all of our triggers with an unconditional lifetime warranty period! Glock & Ruger do not! If our products were not better than OEM, we would be broke!! We have been called the Shelby of Glock & Ruger SR Series trigger connectors. We make your Glock & Ruger SR Series out perform all others while appearing stock-the ghost is on the inside.
F. Is a 3.5 lb. trigger connector too light for carry or is it illegal?
No-If your intention is to hit where you are aiming and if accuracy and speed are an issue-they always are! A smooth lighter Ghost trigger in the 3.5 to 5.5 lb. range with little or no trigger over-travel is the best trigger to have in your pistol.
G. What will the Complete Spring kit do for me, and what should I use?
Spring Kits for Glock’s:
Our complete spring kit comes with all the springs you will need for your self-defense or sporting applications
Self-defense spring set up:
6lb Striker Spring, 6lb. Trigger Spring and Reduced Power Safety Plunger Spring (RPSPS)
- This is the set-up that offers the most increased reliability-
For the Self-defense set up you will change out the factory striker/firing pin for the 6lb. Ghost striker/firing pin. This will increase the amount of strike force on the primer resulting in improved reliability over stock. This would be the recommended set up for 45/10mm pistols.
The 6lb. trigger spring is an assisting spring. This is heavier than the stock spring by 1/2lb. or so. Increasing the trigger spring weight lightens the amount of force required to press the trigger rearward. This trigger spring does lighten the trigger pull weight. Using the 6lb. trigger spring will offset the added weight of the 6lb. striker spring. Using this spring does not change reliability in any way.
The reduced power safety plunger spring will slightly reduce the weight and the felt drag that the trigger bar has on the safety. This spring does not affect reliability. This is the spring that we recommend for the 42/43/43X & 48.
Note: If you want the lightest set up possible without decreasing the reliability of the strike force you can use the 6lb. trigger spring, and the reduced power safety plunger spring while keeping the striker/firing pin stock.
Sport Shooting Setup:
For the sport shooting or target set up you will change out the factory striker/firing pin for the 4lb. Ghost striker/firing pin. This will decrease the amount of strike force on the primer resulting in the lightest possible trigger pull weight. Although we make our springs to last this set up is not recommended for self-defense due to the possibility of increased light primer strikes.
We do not recommend this set up for 45/10mm pistols.
The 6lb. trigger spring is an assisting spring. This is heavier than the stock spring by 1/2lb. or so. Increasing the trigger spring weight lightens the amount of force required to press the trigger rearward. This trigger spring does lighten the trigger pull weight even further when combined with the 4lb. striker spring.
The reduced power safety plunger spring will slightly reduce the weight and the felt drag that the trigger bar has on the safety. This spring does not affect reliability.
Note: Some Glock’s may not like the target set-up and will not fully reset forward to where the trigger safety tip is engaged. In this case, you will want to eliminate the 4lb. striker spring and use the stock striker spring. Although eliminating the 6lb. trigger will also fix this you will want to keep reliability in mind first.
No spring kits are currently available for the Ruger SR.
