Glock 44 Details and Upgrades

The next-generation shooter will likely begin their shooting training with a BB gun. There is no firearm better for teaching the fundamentals of shooting and, more importantly, gun safety.

The most common firearm to move up from after the BB gun is the .22 caliber rifle. There are some who would like to have a .22 caliber pistol and a Glock frame to boot.

Glock 44 Upgrades

The Glock 44 is a stellar choice for teaching handgun safety with a new shooter. There is no recoil, .22 long rifle rounds are cheap, and the feel is the same as a standard Glock. The Glock 44 is built on a Glock19 frame, so the upgrades that will work on a 19 will work equally well on the 44.

There are times when the .22 caliber round is not strong enough to move the slide appropriately. Changing the springs can make a big difference in the action of the slide.
