The Glock 26 - the Best Aftermarket Upgrade Options
Posted by
onThe Glock26 is a 9 mm has been the standard since the Austrian company first introduced their polymer body firearm in the 1980s. Constantly pushing the envelope on the handgun industry, Glock was also one of the first gun manufacturers to create compact models with high-capacity magazines.
The Glock 26 is one of the first compact 9 mm on the market, and it is incredibly popular among almost anyone who wants a backup handgun or something for easy concealed carry.
The Glock 26 is equally ideal for ladies or anyone with a small hand. The 9 mm round has a very low felt recoil, although it is felt a bit more in the 26. It is nothing that cannot be overcome with a copious amount of shooting practice.
Glock 26 Upgrades
The Glock 26, like all of the Glocks we have discussed in previous blogs, has a number of potential upgrades. That is one of the great things about the offerings at Ghost Inc. We have products that will work in all models of the Glock lineup. Here are our recommendations for the Glock 26.
Glock 26 Slide
All Glock models have a very small slide release on the left side of the firearm. The OEM slide release is exceptionally small and very difficult to manipulate. Couple this to a compact model, and the slide release becomes even more difficult to drop the slide for a fresh magazine and rounds.
A replacement aftermarket slide release extends slightly more from the slide than the OEM slide release. This small amount makes plenty of difference when timing matters.
Glock 26 Trigger spring
The Glock doesn’t have an external safety, and this is something that some people looking for a handgun do not like about the Glock. Instead, one of the only ways to make the Glock safer is to increase the trigger pull amount – measured in pounds. Ghost Inc. has a six-pound trigger spring that works well on teaching trigger discipline as well as other gun safety habits. Glock 26 Magazine release
After the slide, the magazine release is the most important part of rapid cycling from one magazine to another. Our aftermarket magazine releases are designed with the tactical shooter in mind. There are also several color options outside of the standard black for those who want to add some color to their Glock 26.
Glock 26 Holster
Glock 26 owners tend to love Kydex holsters and for a good reason. They last and are almost indestructible. Kydex is a hardened plastic mold that holds your Glock 26 firearm snuggly yet firmly. Unlike leather, cloth, or nylon, Kydex will not rot or wear out. This means you can depend on your Kydex holster as long as you enjoy your Glock.
Glock 26 Sights
Face it. The OEM Glock sights are terrible. The replacement sights are not difficult to change out, provided you have the necessary tools. If you do not, your local gun shop or gunsmith can undoubtedly change them for you for a small fee. Believe us when we say that changing the sights is entirely worthwhile.
The Glock 26 sight upgrades will pick up available light at night and make the front and rear sights shine as brightly as day. This can be exceptionally valuable in low-light conditions when all you have is your backup. For the day shooter, the sights will help you center on your target easier as well.
Ghost Inc. offers some of the best aftermarket Glock products on the Internet and promises outstanding customer service the first time – every time.
Meanwhile, keep it in the ten ring!
