Best Upgrades for a Glock 43
Posted by
onOne of the beautiful things about Glock is the pistol is incredibly versatile and easily upgradeable. In fact, many who purchase a stock Glock quickly make changes to the basic model with a variety of after-market products that span a huge gambit of options.
Ghost Inc is a leader in Glock after-market parts and products, and we are pleased to give you a few recommendations for your Glock 43 Upgrades. Best of all, all of the aftermarket parts offered for a Glock 43 do not require a professional gunsmith. Each part is easily removed and replaced with no special tools or training.
Keep reading to see how you can turn a plain Glock into a personalized pistol to be proud to own.
Glock 43 Upgrades: Trigger Connector
Quite possibly, one of the most overlooked yet important pieces of the Glock 43 is the trigger connector. The trigger connector is responsible for moving down the sear from the striker immediately after the sear retracts from the striker. While this may not make much sense except to a gunsmith, the trigger connector allows the Glock owner to change the pull on the trigger to a heavier or lighter pull.
Glock 43 Upgrades: Magazine extensions
There is never such a thing as too many rounds. This is true for law enforcement, home defense, and for competition or recreational shooting. There are several Glock 43 upgraded magazine extension options available. Owners can select a single, double, or up to four additional rounds in their magazines. With the exception of the four-round model, there is very little extra size. This keeps the Glock 43 ideal for a concealed carry sidearm.
Glock 43 Upgrades: Extended Magazine Release
After additional rounds, the ability to change a magazine swiftly and fluidly is vital in certain situations. Ghost Inc offers an extended magazine release with a larger button that drops the magazine faster than the stock release.
Snag-free, the shooter does not have to worry about the Glock 43 release catching during unholstering.
Glock 43 Upgrades: Extended Slide Release
The shooter empties their magazine, drops the empty, and slides a fresh magazine into the grip. The slide is back in the open position after the last round clears the muzzle. There is a small extension on the left side of the slide where it meets the polymer base. This is the slide release and must be depressed to fire again.
Many shooters with small hands or in need of a faster magazine change and replacement do well with an extended slide release. The small extension can make the difference for those with small hands or competition shooters where fractions of a second make a huge difference.
Glock 43 Upgrades: Ambidextrous Holster
Ninety-nine percent of holsters created and sold for pistol owners are designed for the right-hand shooter. This means the left-handed shooter is often relegated to real difficulties in finding a suitable holster. Enter the MISSION FIRST 48 & 43X - Ambidextrous Appendix IWB Holster. The holster is minimally designed for the fastest draw and for inside the waistband, IWB, specifically. Changing from right to left hand is simple and requires no special tools.
Glock 43 Upgrades: Threaded Barrel
Glock users who wish to purchase an NFA tax stamp and suppressor for their 43 will need a barrel that is both extended and threaded. Ghost Inc’s threaded barrel represents the ultimate Glock 43 upgrade.
This match-grade barrel is threaded to 1/2x28 – standard for suppressors – and comes with a threaded cap.
These Glock 43 upgrades are certainly not all of the great products available from your friends at Ghost Inc. Check out the rest of the site for our other great products, including OEM Glock parts.
